For the past few months, I have been inactive, (implying I have done nor posted any 'good' artworks) and have only been browsing dA. I have reached several profiles of whom I don't know nor how I even got there. I usually check their galleries, and of course, read the comments random people have put there. I know some of them were sincere with their posts but wouldn't the owner of the page appreciate it more if you say something better than "Hey, Cool." or "Nice."
Seriously, what would you feel if you made, perhaps, this image [link] and someone you don't even know that it looks "absolutely positively beautiful".
It sounds more like an insult, really. Before people in the dA community hit the 'submit' button, they make sure that it is something they have given effort into, hopefully. And it would be better if they received honest comments and or critics about it so that they may improve what they have done. (If you don't want critics, you could always turn it off.)
So all of you who do this random "Cool." posts, stop it. It won't get you a lot of pageviews, really. Just focus on your work and if you ever comment, make it meaningful. Otherwise, just don't waste time pretending you care about the image even if you actually don't.
